For in excess of the past two decades, we have been leaders in the field of septic tank and French drain combinations to both the public and industry, and continue to remain leaders in this field.

During the past two years, and in taking cognisance of the demand for an efficient alternative to septic tanks and French Drains, we have developed an on-site mini sewage treatment plant, and at this stage we have no fewer than twenty units in the field. It was our initial ambition to produce an effluent almost the equivalent of Water Affairs' General Standard; regrettably, we have not quite reached that standard to date but, nonetheless, our final effluent is that of a high order, and we anticipate that we will improve this quality as the days go by.

The "GEM" mini sewage treatment plant is an unique miniature size biological plant. The unit is designed and engineered specially for those who are temporarily, or permanently, residing outside the reach of municipal sewage disposal systems, or for use in areas where French drains are prohibited.

The "GEM" mini sewage treatment plant is compact and needs minimal maintenance. It can be installed at almost any location. The installation procedure is simple and the plant can be installed by the owner himself following the installation instructions.

The latest Water Act and Environmental Act prohibits the use of septic tanks as on-site treatment systems in dolomitic and clay areas, and environmentally sensitive areas. The new "GEM" is ideally suited for such.

Finally, in this section, we strongly advise that the owner of his new "GEM" incorporates a holding tank (also available from ourselves) complete with a small electric submersible pump, which will control the outflow for irrigation purposes, i.e. lawns, trees, shrubs and other greenery.
